“20” COULD BE “1” THIS WEEK …
Russell’s new album, “20“, enters the mid-week Official Albums Chart Update Top 100 at #7 and is on course for a high entry in the Classical Artists Album Chart when that’s published later this week.
Great news!
Also, while looking at the charts it was good to see that both ‘In Harmony’ and ‘Back In Harmony‘ have re-entered to Official Classical Artist Album chart at #42 and #41 respectively.
ON TV TOMORROW AND WEDNESDAY …
Russell is expected to put in appearances on two TV stations this week.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, he’s to be on Channel 4’s “Steph’s Packed Lunch“
On Wednesday he’s expected to be on Channel 5’s “The Jeremy Vine Show“.

RUSSELL TO ‘STREAM’ AN EVENT IN DECEMBER …
Plans are afoot for Russell to record a ‘virtual concert’ (for want of a better term) and he is currently in London to record material at the Union Chapel. The performance will then be streamed on the internet to subscribers on Friday 11th December from 7.30 pm

“OK!” is a weekly magazine and we’re told that Russell has a feature in the current edition … Number 1260, dated 27.10.20 (that’s the ‘week ending’).

ON AIR & IN PRINT …
Russell was on commercial radio station Radio Scala earlier and his conversation with Chris Rogers is now available to listen again from 1 hour 17 minutes and about 10 seconds in, with a track-play of “Il Gladiatore“. Russell also chose “Intermezzo” for an air-play. Great choice, Russell. Lovely!
He’s also been on Michael Ball‘s Radio 2 programme and that is also available now. You can ‘Listen Again’ from 1 hour 31 minutes and about 32 seconds. Another good chat and finished with “Il Gladiatore“.
Following that radio conversation Russell could be found on BBC Songs Of Praise singing “You Raise Me Up”. That should be available on their web page for the next month.
Russell could also be heard on BBC Radio Ulster this afternoon talking with Kerry McLean and offering his own thoughts on the new album. Kerry has a nice way of leading into a topic and letting her guests answer without interruption. “Thank you.” Kerry (and Russell, of course). From 1 hour 14 minutes and about 40 seconds in …
He’s also featured in the “Review” section of today’s Sunday Express newspaper. We haven’t found an online version of that yet, sorry.

SECRETS OF THE SHED …
The radio phone-ins to promote the new album continue and today Russell was on BBC Radio Lincolnshire in conversation with Carla Greene. He was talking about having spent some of his enforced time at home in clearing out his garden shed when Carla asked about certain items of clothing … ‘CozPlay’ outfits you might call them these days … which Russell agreed had been kept from days gone by when he and his friends would return home from wherever and …well … have a listen for yourselves.
