Positive news again for Russell’s single Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough as two more US radio stations add the song to their playlists and it rises again in the AC chart, standing at #23 as of yesterday.

On the Home Front, the forthcoming album ‘True Stories‘, from which the single is taken, enters the Amazon (UK) Best Sellers (currently at #17) and the Amazon (UK) Hot New Releases (currently at #3 though it was at #2 earlier). Both of these charts are updated hourly so some fluctuation can be expected but the trend continues upwards!

Congratulations to US radio show host, Delilah, on being awarded “Network/Syndicated Personality Of The Year” in the 2016 Marconi Awards.  We don’t get to hear her programme in the UK but she’s on Facebook, of course.  Delilah recently had some lovely comments for Russell and his song, ‘Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough’, so it’s nice to see nice things happening for her.   If you still haven’t heard the song, Click Here.

Today would have been Kirsty Howard‘s 21st birthday, had she not been taken from the world in October last year …

If you’re not already aware of the late Kirsty Howard, her fundraising for Francis House Children’s Hospice, how she touched the hearts of the nation and how she and Russell became friends, take a look at Susie Mathis’ book “Kirsty – Angel Of Courage” that can be found in print or online, in full, and read free of charge on Scribd.

This week’s airplays chart from US radio stations doesn’t show a great deal of significant movement in the Top 30.  Apart from a couple of new entrants, things are much as they were last week.  Russell does move up one more place though, from #26 to #25 – and up is up so it’s still heading in the right direction.

If you haven’t yet seen this concert, you simply must.  Set the Skybox to record it or find it in the Catch Up TV listings.  Better still, get the DVD.  Read more …

Paying a re-visit to the web page of photographer Wes Simpson, whose pictures of Russell and Louise’s wedding featured in last year’s Hello! We thought Russell was taking a break but it’s looking like a busman’s holiday and he’s done a photo shoot in Lucca. Very Italianate! Not everyone thinks the backdrop is the most appropriate, though, but who’s looking at the walls when there’s a such a handsome bloke in the frame …

Tonight’s concert at Exeter Corn Exchange and Friday’s concert at The Cresset in Peterborough have both had to be cancelled today due to Russell having a throat infection. While this Tour has had some fabulous highs, it’s been plagued with throat infections but we can only reflect that Russell is human and not immune to these viruses, fit as he is usually. We can only wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to whatever the future brings along with his new album release.

If you’d like to wish Russell well, please join us in doing so on his Official Facebook Page

All the best Russell …

This isn’t the same as the sales chart but is unprecedented for a Classical Crossover artist.  Yay, Russell!  Let’s hope it gets lots of airplays and this translates to sales!

5th August 2016

Even sooner than expected, Russell’s single of Sometime Love Just Ain’t Enough becomes available to download from Amazon.com.  Unfortunately, it appears that they are restricting sales to within the United States.  The good news, though, is that the song has been included on a weekly promotional disc sent to radio stations to encourage airplays and is amongst the “Cool New Music” chosen by All Access Music Group, a major and influential music industry resource.
