May 2009 and Team Russell are running in the BUPA Great Manchester Run to raise funds for The Kirsty Club in aid of Francis House Childrens’ Hospice. Russell is flanked by Grant and Victoria at the start but first he sings a few bars from “You Raise Me Up” to encourage each wave of runners while he is literally ‘raised up’ on a hydraulic platform!
