So went the headline to New Zealand TV’s ‘Close Up’ programme when they showed an interview with Russell in June of this year (2011).
“Imagine dragging yourself up from labouring in a bolt factory to becoming an international star and selling millions of CDs – then being diagnosed with two massive tumours in your head.”
