Fresh from his outstanding Magical Christmas Concert at the Royal Festival Hall, Russell put in a live performance on the Main Stage of The Orient at the Trafford Centre from 5.30pm on Thursday 15th December 2011.

It was only a brief appearance, with just three songs - You Raise Me Up followed by Panis Angelicus and then his farewells… until the fans called for more and he returned to lead them in Volare.
Sadly, attendance was well below the ’sell-out’ numbers that Russell usually attracts and it wasn’t easy for him to get the audience to sing along but he enthused and didn’t stint on the vocal power.
There was no plan for Russell to stay and sign copies of the DVD afterwards as there were 500 signed copies available to purchase from the HMV store on Peel Avenue but fans who remained by the ‘stage door’ were greeted well and some were able to have their pictures taken with The Voice himself.
